[Aztlan] Jester God

Listeros: The books Maya Cosmos and Lost Cities of the Maya have a drawing and picture of the Palenque King Kan-Hok Chitam represented on a Panel from Tonina. He wears a headdresses of a Jester God with plumes. I have seen this almost exact headdresses on other Kings. Why is the Jester God  in the attire and wardrobe of so many Kings? Also may the Owl represent war and the Jaguar death in different situations?   M.F.Malo
