[Aztlan] Query: Mesoamerican Scales and Balances?

Can I ask members of the Aztlan List, re a discussion on a large
premodern Eurasia research List, if any iconographical evidence -- and
associated mythology, if any is known -- existed anywhere in
pre-Columbian Mesoamerica that involved scales or balances?
Scales and balances show up commonly in a wide range of mythological
and astronomical literature in premodern Eurasia, going back to the mid
third millennium BCE, and we're trying to trace potentially related
themes elsewhere.
I've run into some old literature on putative Mesoamerican scales and
weights, but besides being dated, the literature looks suspiciously
unreliable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Steve Farmer, Ph.D.
