Update:
The Press has notified us that the deadline for receiving the
additional $1500 is the end of September. That is welcome news.
We are about 1/3 of the way there already.
Please contribute what you can (checks made out as shown below),
$50, $100, even $25 helps.

Can you contribute funds to provide full color images
instead of only black and white in an important book?

A book is going to press shortly which will give a comprehensive
account of the murals at Pottery Mound and some comparison
with other murals, ceramics, rock art, etc.  These are of great importance
for anyone interested in the cultures of the southwestern USA,
and also for anyone interested in the symbols and images in rock art,
on ceramics, and in other media.

Some details on the book are below my signature.
What is of importance immediately is whether we can gather a small
amount of additional funds to enable the full production of color
where that is appropriate.  A small grant locally has enabled the
production of 16 pages in color, but 24 pages in color would
increase the usefulness of the book, both its readability and its value
as a permanent reference.

For that we need an additional $1500.
Can you help?
If so, please write a check made out to the
Univ. of New Mexico Foundation,
and put in the annotation line "Additional color for Pottery Mound book".
Send the checks to me, and I will send them to the Press only if we
get enough to do the job (otherwise will void them & return them to you).
Get your checks to me as soon as you can,
but by mid-September at the latest.

Best wishes,
