[Aztlan] Meso trade in Hawaii

Maybe its the wrong ocean, but aren't there rafts of kelp or sargasso or
something that accumulate and float long distances, and are used along the
way by birds and other animals?  I suppose a chart of ocean currents could
show likely routes that intersect both landmasses and associated crops.
