[Aztlan] Meso trade in Hawaii

Dear Dr. Snizek:
Please don't take offense--none was intended. Your question was great, I
think. I'm just hoping we don't end up re-hashing topics that have been
discussed at great length before.
The FAMSI list archives apparently only reflect activity on the list since
it was transferred to the FAMSI server this year.
Here's a link to a searchable archive that goes back many years:
http://listserv.linguistlist.org/archives/aztlan.html
There are probably other mirrors of this information on other servers as
well.
If you search on a term like "Polynesia" you will get many hits on this
subject.
Best wishes,
Cliff

Sir,
As the person who started this thread (this time around at least) I feel
compelled to respond with 2 points.
1) As far as I can tell the archive only goes back to January 2006.
http://www.famsi.org/pipermail/aztlan/
If there is an older archive I am not aware of it.
2) It is VERY hard to locate things in this archive unless you know either
the date, poster or actual subject line of the thread.
If someone has information on this topic (specifically contact with Hawaii)
they can feel free to send it directly to me and I apologize for taking up
time and space unnecessarily.
Respectfully
