[Aztlan] Query: Chac Mool

First let me ask, is it spelled Chac Mool or Chacmool? Or some other way?
I've seen it spelled so many different ways.

Sofar the numbers I've come across are:
12 Toltec in Tula
14 Maya Chichen Itza
01 Aztec without provence
02 Aztec Templo Mayor

Miller states in her article, "No chacmool can be convincingly dated before
the early Postclassic or terminal Classic period. It is a sculptural type
equally as unknown at Tikal as at Teotihuacan. Once the chacmool appeared,
however, it rapidly spread through Mesoamerica, being seen as far south as
costa Rica. Despite the great number of these figures that are known and
recorded, convincing arguments for their origin, dissemination, and meaning
have rarely been made."
Would you agree with her statement?

The pictures I've come across show some looking over the left shoulder and
others the right. Because some are old prints in books and articles I do not
know if the negatives could have been flipped.
