When I went to the Chimalapas region in Oaxaca I realized many of the Zoque indigenous people did not like to be called "Indios". One of them (the school principal) told me we are not Indios, that's for those in India. We are Zoques or Mexicans, or for that matter Americans (meaning they belong to the continent of America). -Rodrigo
