[Aztlan] Listero input on threads

Estimados Listeros,

We appreciate the feedback regarding list members'
thoughts on recent topics.  However, please send such
comments directly to the list moderators so that we do
not exacerbate any potential frustration that other
list members may feel about receiving too many emails.
  All three moderators take such feedback seriously and
we have lengthy off-list discussions regarding how to
strike the best balance for all.

In the case of the thread "Indian" -- this is a
concept that is necessarily addressed in nearly every
anthropology class covering the Americas.  It is
important for students, teachers and other interested
parties to recognize that there are vastly different
viewpoints on this topic.  As it is the moderators'
role to keep this list focused, but not to censor any
valid ideas, we have allowed all sides to be heard.

However, it is also important to make sure that no
topics (regardless of their content) go on forever and
continue to fill everyone's inbox.  If any of you feel
a thread is either inappropriate or running too long,
please send us that feedback off-list so that we can
make the best decisions possible.
