Actually, there are and were several 'breeds' of Peruvian dogs. The
hairless, a small spotted dog, a small-to medium sized dog with an extreme
'fighting head' and a dog similar to a 'Chinese Crested' besides the usual
village dogs.
This subject has been only touched on before now but I intend to do some
research into this in the next few years.
I am glad they found the South Coast dogs. I hope this will lead to more
research in this field.
 I was at the ICAZ Conference in Mexico City and could learn nothing about
who was doing 'doggy' research in Ecuador, Peru and Chile.
