Folks:
The Pleiades is described by Sahagun as named the
Cabrillas.
The Cabrillas, however, does have a second
translation, that of a sawhorse (Carpenters are well
aware of this shape)
The fartherest east is Gemini but is close to Taurus
in the same location as Pegasus located on the other
section of the Milky Way;
The sawhorse of the constellations is Pegasus, not
Gemini.
Sahagun said that one of the stars of the three
hearthstones (inferred in his text) rises at 3 am, the
second in early morning and the last later in the am.
These three stars have a better chance of being the
hearthstones because they would be Deneb, Vega and
Altair that surround an area in the constellation
Cygnus stangely filled with red and yellow star. . .
.(per Allen in his book Star Names) that could well
be the "oven" of the gods mentioned in the Birth of
the Fifth Sun.
The rest of Sahagun's translation also makes it clear
that he is not speaking about Orion, but the venus
star that apparently came from that direction.
