Folks;

Since the answer is incomplete, and the Cabrillas are
identified as the Pleiades in the Spanish that I have,
I must assume that the text in Anderson and Dibble
comes from the same location but with a more accurate
(Maya verified) star accession time for the Pleiades.
This would be 100% correct today.

So the Spanish text is wrong, either about the
Pleiades (as I am assuming with my first post).
Sahagun might be telling us about a different
constellation called the Three Hearthstones that are
found together with the firesticks that have the
appearance of the main mast of a ship. If this is
true, then the three hearthstones have to be very,
very special still to the Maya and to the Peruvians
south of the Equator,

As a secondary note, having mentioned the Peruvians
here, In kansas, there is a river called Cygne [du]
Maraias. and may relate (as a misspelling to the
constellation Cygnus of the three Marias in Peru. An
interesting thought to say the least. Maraias (may be
misspelled here) is translated as "mashland" (or place
of herons.)
