[Aztlan] Maya traslation

Folks:

That seems to be a problem with all translations.
First and formost,"honesty" might just be an idiomatic
phrase.

We tend to think that a whole word will be translated
from our language to other languages easily, however,
there is a whole host of very imaginative phrases that
contain the same concept of such words that indicate
esoteric concepts.  Linda found one when she
discovered "to touch the earth" meant "to be born." 

Secondly: Would a conqueror actually record such a
word as "honest" during the destruction of a country's
government and religion?
Would there be contrary things going on around the
conquerors and their historians? A lot of inactive
behavior?  i.e. the old view of a Mexican was that of
a man sitting on the ground with a large sombrero
covering his face who was assumed to be sleeping.

I would make a bet that one can find some idiomatic
phrase that indicates an honest heart with a bit of
research into the language of the people still alive.
