Folks:

Thanks for the info given. I do have some problems
with the answers though.
First:  If the canoe is a star item (according to
Linda Schele in Maya Cosmos) why is there such a fuss
making it a land item?

If the iguana is Itzamna related to the number three
(three claws are shown), does it refer to his home, or
his name?

If the two circles on the leg of the jaguar paddler
refers to Akbal (usually shown with a triangle, not a
line in the middle) but since it does refer to
"darkness," is the Jaguar a night time element of the
sky as I assumed?

And if all of the above is true, then does the Maize
god get reborn from a turtle shell, or does he burst
out of the cob as popcorn as a sudden [new] event due
to volcanic heat or sun heat?  It seems that there is
one relgious festival in Aztec land emphasizing "las
palomitas."

Since the paddles have a k'in sign, could it have been
from sun heat?
