Martha,

Yes, that particular team has been excavating that site for 10 years
but there has not been any confirmation of their claims by peer
review by other teams from elsewhere. It is not like Monte Verde
where the entire world archaeological community came to a consensus
after 15 years of peer reviewed study that Monte Verde is indeed
going back to 13,000 BC.

Until that happens, the site will be in study and not verified. That
is what I am saying. There are other sites in the US where claims
like this have been made and have been studied for some years but
peer review has not yet established the veracity of the claims.

I hope this happens at some point but we cannot be sure until
independent verification of claims is established.

This is why the team in Minnesota is inviting outside peer review of
its findings now.

 From Martha Noyes,

David, you're correct, these are legitimate and reputable scholars.

Michael, the Allendale archaeology and its find of preClovis
artifacts is already almost ten years old, as the first of the
artifacts were found in 1998.

You can take a look at this site, http://www.allendale-
expedition.net/ (just the first of several that came up on my search
engine).
