I just know that if I put a small rock/pebble on the ground and then tried
to pivot a x ton monument on it the pebble(pivot point)  would probably sink
into the packed earth.  Convenient that the demo was performed upon a
concrete slab which no doubt had rebarb embedded in it.  Sure, one could
pave the way with 'piedra de monte' but if it anything like my driveway here
in Merida the cracks and uneven surface would certainly be a pain!.  Don't
try moving a a large blank several miles.   All-in-all I like the show and
his creativity.
