Scotty MacNeish spent alot of time trying
to pinpoint the route of these paleolithic
peoples, going as far as the Yukon of Alaska, walking shorelines looking for
sites. His trail seems to point south, but
the northeastern trail still holds promise
for future excavations, as the Minnesota
find demonstrates. No doubt the Clovis
have utilized caves along their route, so
perhaps more excavations could be focused
on these geologic features, often covered by
alluvial fans over the last 10,000 years.
