Coe, Michael D. 2005. The Maya, 7th ed. New York: Thames & Hudson. (good
overall text; there are earlier versions but each ed. Incorporates the
latest information at the time of publication)
Evans, Susan Toby. 2004. Ancient Mexico & Central America. New York: Thames
& Hudson. (well done and informative; for all of Mesoamerica, not just the
Maya)
Laughton, Timothy. 1998. The Maya. London: Duncan Baird Publishers.
(beautiful and informative.)
