[Aztlan] The Highlands vs. The Peten

Hi Listeros,
Perhaps this has to do with a lack or insufficient research in the
Highlands, what David said is true for the assumption between Northern and
Southern Lowlands, the use of stellas was common in both regions, but as
data in the Northern Lowlands in relativelly scarse in comparison with the
other, is more likely to think than altar-stelae tradition begun in the
Southern Lowlands. There's still much research to be done arround here at
the north. Another fact is looting and destruction of sites, better
communications in the northern plains contribute to this, as long as access
to sites is much more easier here than in for example, the Puuc hills, where
a larger ammount of buildings are better preserved.
