I found a news in my archives about an altar found recently in the
Cakchiquel area. The place is call "Los Cerritos" and this place belongs to
the "Patzicia" town. Near to "Tecpán" near to "Iximché".
Julian Sirir was making a well, and he found a big stone, still digging we
found that the stone was a enormous maya altar, with one and a half meters
of high, the altar has two snakes on the sides.
He has already recieved offers, but strangely he has decided not sell it but
to report it to the authorities.
Archaelogits William Swezey made some studies on the place and he determined
that the area belongs to some maya elite in the posctclassic period.
I have the newspaper picture, so if someone want it just let me know and
I´ll send it back.
