[Aztlan] Popol Vuh and de Landa

This is a quick query.  Does Diego de Landa have any relation with  the Popol Vuh Translation?

I think that is no possible because Diengo de Landa belongs to the XVI century and the Popol Vuh first translation belongs to the XVIII century, but I have communicated with a certain maya community and they think that de Landa made the book´s translation.

Just for to make sure about my point, Diego de Landa  has not relation at all with the Popol Vuh, is it?
