Has there been any analysis of the glyphs on the monument found at Tonina - titled "Relief of noble with weapon." An image of the monument is featured in the "Courtly Art of the Ancient Maya" (Miller/Martin 2004) plate 106, page 188.
If anyone is familiar with the glyphs along the left side, could they please direct me to a glyph reading. I'm most interested in the first glyph block (A-2), which features a mirror and an unidentified set of glyphs, one possibly being a "skull" with an eye and row of teeth. Then there appears to be an "ax" sign dividing the "skull" from another unidentified affixed glyph on the right.
Any help in identifying these glyphs would be appreciated.
Thanks
George Haas
