On a beautiful morning, August the 3rd, 1492 AD,

three ships, the "Nina", the "Pinta" and the "Santa Maria" left the harbor
of Palos, Spain Andalusia.

After about 2 months, on October the 2nd, a humble mariner, named
Christopher Columbus,

arrived in the Promised Land.

What he thought was the Orient, was in fact an idyllic New World in the
West,

as pristine and unstained as Paradise.

In fact it was an island of the Bahama's, "Guanaham" (24°North latitude;
74°30West longitude).

August 3 1492, 11.13.12.00.14 11 Ix 02 Uayeb in the Mayan LC-notation.

On June 9, 1500 AD, the last katun had begun of the "Ukahlay Katunob".

That date marked not only the end of the Post-Classical Period, but also the
end of Mayan civilization.

Isn't it peculiar and even remarkable that the beginning of a new cycle of
the "Ukahlay Katunob",

marks the beginning of the American Dream.

For the LC it is indeed a remarkable notation.

Arithmetically 5 numbers were gathered together: 00, 11, 12, 13 and 14.

In the CR 11 Ix was marked.

The number 11, coming after the number 10, was the number of the primal
mother "Ix".

The goddess Ix as the symbol of fertility.

Indeed a remarkable notation for the American continent who was urgent
pregnant of a whole new society.

But the 02 Uayeb, as the beginning of the Uayeb, was for the Maya in fact a
fearful and devastating time.

It was not only a transition to another year, but also a beginning of a
whole new Age.

The unbounded ruler of that godless time was the demon Uayeb, a creature of
chaos.

Only the primal mother "Ix" or "Mam" was in the possibility to tide over the
days of chasm.

Remarkable that the humble mariner Columbus made the trip in the admiral
ship the "Santa Maria".

"Maria", as the primal mother of the Christians.

Hereby we must admit how striking and determined the "Ukahlay Katunob" was,

not only for the Mayan people but in fact for the whole history of the
American civilization.
