Has the vase in question tested positive for theobromine or does it merely
say so?

Listeros: A good example of how the Maya spelled and pronounced their name
for chocolate by the late classic can be seen and read on a vase now in the
Williams College Museum of Art, Kerr 8713. See the photo and drawing,
glyphs D and E, an unusual collocation of two side-by-side fish-head "ka"
signs, with a "wa" suffixed to the latter. The pot once contained "fresh"
cacao. Read the excellent translation of the whole PSS by Marc Zender,
