  Thanks for the information. But the mystery of the abreviation M.D. T. still remains. What does it indicate?
   
  The 1997 version of Berdan and Anawalt (The Essential Codex Mendoza) that I have is supposed to contain Vol. 2 and Vol. 4 but is has only maps of the areas, not the glyphs.
   
  I have to trot over to the Benson I think and find the other one.

The reference is to folio 33r, the second glyph down on the left hand 
side of the page. It can be found in Vol. 4 of Berdan and Anawalt, 
p. 71, or the facsimile volume 3, p. 73.
