On the other hand, there are no such things as "hammock holders" in any Maya 
house or "na," the thatched

house of the rural folks. Hammocks are slung from beams because the 
wattle-and-daub walls won't hold hammock

hooks--as you will certainly see mounted on the walls of city-dwellers whose 
homes are made of concrete block,

by and large.
