Your should actually pat Thor Anderson on the back
because he went to the trouble of building a house or
two with the Maya.  That was hard enough, but to learn
how they used their hands to measure, and how they
would double the ropes to get even measurements
without rulers or adding machines, It all had to be
learned by listening and watching.  And not being
obtrusive, but patient and even laughing at the jokes
the Maya told at his expense.
