[Aztlan] MA, EP: Stylistic Variation in Maya Hieroglyphs

Hi,

 

I'm new to the list, and am currently writing a thesis on stylistic
variation across time and space in Maya hieroglyphs.  I'm trying to expand
on Hermann Byer's study from 1932 (Stylistic Variation in Maya Hieroglyphs),
and was wondering if anyone knows where I could find information about his
data or methods with respect to this study, or criticism he may have
received, or any information about him in general.  Any other comments on
the topic would be greatly appreciated as well.  You can post to the list or
