Re reactions to the display of mummies and human remains in general: It
is important to understand that most such modern reactions on the part
of native peoples has everything to do with contemporary issues, and
nothing to do with the ancient world per se. That is not to say that
their concerns are any less real or valid, simply that they have nothing
to do with what the ancestors might or might not have thought or done.
