[Aztlan] AZTLAN / FAMSI SURVEY -- Please Read

Estimados Listeros,

Many thanks to all of you who have taken the time to
fill out our Aztlan Member Survey.  If you have not
yet participated, please visit the website below. 
There are only 11 questions, and it should take less
than 3 minutes of your time.  It is very important
that ALL members of Aztlan participate in this survey
so that the moderators and our sponsors at FAMSI can
get an accurate view of how our members use Aztlan.

In addition, there are a few comments that we have
already received through this survey that can be
easily addressed:

FIRST: some are still having trouble sending posts to
the Aztlan listserv.  This is relatively simple.  As
long as you are officially registered with the list,
all you need to do is to send your message to:

aztlan at lists.famsi.org

At that point, the email will be forwarded to the
three moderators.  They will make sure it is
appropriate for Aztlan, then forward it to the list.

SECOND: some listeros have asked FAMSI to make the
archives more easily searched.  Currently, you can
search the FAMSI Aztlan archives by author, date or
subject (but you cannot search for keywords within the
text of individual messages).

While this may be improved in the future, there are
Aztlan mirror sites that provide better searching
within each message.  These are not as "up-to-date" at
the FAMSI archives (there is at least a 1 day lag in
posting), however, they are often useful for "keyword"
searching within all older messages.

We have appreciated everyone's comments and
participation in the survey.  We will be addressing
any issues that may come to our attention via this
survey after it is completed.  The survey will only be
open to responses for another couple of weeks.  Again,
