First, upon the advice of my wife (an elementary
school teacher) I'd like to remind any teachers out
there that many Mexican chocolate wafers contain some
nuts (often almonds). Be sure to check for alergies
in your class.

I don't normally post any advertisements on Aztlan,
with the exception of new academic publications, etc.
However, for those who are in the educational field
(elementary through graduate school), a chocolate
"kit" is as important of a resource as many of our
other ethnographic teaching collections. I have mine
stashed with my huipiles, comales, molcajetes and
ollas.

Below are a few places to buy the items we have
discussed today (please note that I have no knowledge
or stake in these companies, just forwarding the info
for educational purposes). Obviously, the best places
to buy these would be in their country of origin.

And below these links are a few more recipes
(including a video of a modern Latina family making
hot chocolate with a molinillo).
