Folks:
Evaluating only one city or group of people defeats the purpose of research, although it may prove valid points. Here is a list of quote from various researchers who identified the abandonment of large groups of people in the 12th century AD. The last is early in 1224 AD which may also apply. This would indicate a recall of personnel needed somewhere else.

Aymara is language before Quechua in Bolivian highlands abandoned abruptly in 1200 A.D. Tiahuanaco in Bolivia on shores of Lake Titicaca was built about 600 B.C. Origin of people (builders) unknown, suddenly departed around 1200 A.D.
