Concert: Maya Variations for Earth Harp, Indianapolis Museum of Art

    * Friday, April 11
    * 8:00 pm*

    * Pulliam Great Hall
    * FREE

Join us for the midwest premiere of composer Yuval Ron’s ethereal Maya
Variations for Earth Harp, woodwinds and electronics. The Earth Harp,
designed by instrument inventor William Close, is a massive stringed
instrument that spans the length of the performance venue. The
performance is a 45-minute multimedia work derived from Ron’s score of
the documentary film "Breaking the Maya Code" by David Lebrun,
scheduled for release in 2008. Woodwinds by Yeghish Manukyan; visuals
by the filmmaker. Watch the performance from ground level or from a
balcony for an aerial view. Stay afterward for an informal Q&A and the
chance to touch and play the Earth Harp.

*Please note new time.
