Thank you for the forward Randa.
As Erik explains in his message there is an article about the murals that is
located here:
http://www.letraslibres.com/index.php?art=11829. Several parts of this
stunning mural are shown, but not the composite. This article has a great
sampling of the paintings and interesting commentary to go along with it.
Elaine

Subject: [Aztlan] Calakmul Murals--forwarded from Erik Boot
Erik Boot, of the http://mayanewsupdates.blogspot.com/ site that Mike
Ruggeri
has already praised on Aztlan (I really don't know how Erik and Mike keep up
so well with what is "out there") asked me to forward this note, about the
Calakmul Murals:
Hi,
A good online article in Spanish on the Calakmul murals can be found
at the website of Letras Libres:
Viaje al coraz=F3n de Calakmul
Autora: Laura Emilia Pacheco
2007
http://www.letraslibres.com/index.php?art=3D11829
Other Spanish reports on these and other amazing discoveries at
Calakmul can be found in recent issues of "Arqueologia mexicana" (for
example at http://www.arqueomex.com/S2N3nDOSIER75.html and
http://www.arqueomex.com/S2N3nCalakmul75.html, but these are the very
short intros to the publsihed issues) and the most recent volumes in
the series "Investigadores de la cultura maya," published by the
Universidad Autonoma de Campeche.
Kind regards & cheers,
Erik
