Listeros,
Reuters London has just posted a follow up on the Columbia Tomb
discovery with more information. The 2000 year old tomb contains 1500
graves of scarified and sacrificed individuals stacked tightly and in
rows. A tomb with this many people used for centuries to bury the
dead in the same spot is a rarity in the world. The Muisca culture
maintained this grave site which is like a library of 2000 years of
pre-Columbian culture. The dead were sacrificed to the Sun God. The
oral tradition states that each family had to send one child to live
with priests until their sacrifice at age 15.
Some shell necklaces, stone implements and ceramics have been found
in the tomb.
Reuters has the story here;

I expect this URL will change as this was a transcription of a live
audio report. If it has, check on my Ancient America News site for
updated URL's.
