Listeros,

An archaeological zone will be opening in Guanajuato at the large
site of Peralta which dates at 600-900 CE. It features enclosed
places like sunken patios that are more Zapotec-like in appearance.
Peralta is architecturally related to another Guanajuato site, Canada
de la Virgen. Ceramics with orange and black stripes, a turquoise
necklace, two seashell necklaces have been uncovered there. The
turquoise was imported over the ancient Turquoise Road from the mine
at Cerritos in Arizona.

The 80 pieces uncovered are being restored and will become part of
the museum to be built at the site. The site will be open in early 2009.
