Listeros,

I am sending this posting from Dan Sandweiss on to all of you. It is
from Andean archaeologist Steve Bourget on his recent work in the
Zana Valley. The links have spectacular photos of his finds there.

Hello all,
Steve Bourget <sbourget at mail.utexas.edu> sends this message about his
recent field season in Peru along with links to the project website
and images of a Moche burial representing a personage from the
Presentation Theme.

Dear Friends and colleagues, I just came back from a very productive
field season at Huaca el Pueblo, a site in the Zana Valley.
This year, we studied mostly Early and Middle Moche architecture. In
the process, we recovered a large funerary chamber.
The context, dating from the Middle Moche period, shows similarities
with tombs found at SIpan.

Also the website for the project will be updated very soon.

Sincerely, Steve
