That is not true.

If one is looking through the doorway of Structure 22, than one is looking
straight to the North!

If one is standing in the doorway of Structure 22, looking to the Eastern
Court, than one is looking straight to the South.

There are other lines in the site of Copan who are more lined up to the
winter solstice, like the line Structure 3, Stela 1 and Structure 4
