[Aztlan] Xalitla figures

Just a quick web search for "Xalitla" and "1500" resulted in at least one hit that supports Jorge's and Miguel's assertion that these "Xalitla Figures" are likely Xochipala figurines:

Mary Ellen Miller's "The Art of Mesoamerica, from Olmec to Aztec" also places the beginning of this figurine tradition at 1500 BC.
I don't pretend to be an expert on this, so I'll leave the debate over the chronological placement up to others (perhaps someone on this list could give us all a brief refresher course on this style?). But Jim Catalano would certainly be well served to focus his research upon the "Xochipala" style figurines.
