I believe the type of earthenware figure in question here is one sometimes
called a "C-section" or "Caesarean" figure because of a large 'cut' or
scar-like gouge which runs up and down the torso. Most of these figurines,
usually under 11"H, are purportedly found in the area around the Nahua
village of Xalitla, Guerrero....
