I forgot to mention, in a comment in a public forum (http://hardware.slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=208132&cid=16971732)
was mentioned other file (about the same book i believe) that proposes an explanation of the eclipse table in Dresden codex

Listeros,
Given some of the off-line responses I have received, I obviously need to clarify my question concerning the Maya Calendar and the significance of the 20 Tzolk'in days.
I am NOT looking for New Age junk, or similar superstitions.
However, modern and ancient Maya hold certain days as important. The modern Maya, at least, believe that it is important to do certain things on certain days (honor one's ancestors, give thanks, etc.)
I am trying to find a source for their beliefs (not the beliefs of non-Mayas or Aztlan listeros).
Thanks,
Mark Pitts
