[Aztlan] 2008 Maya Meetings and Google Earth

Hello Listeros,

 

For those of you who are Google Earth users, clicking on the link below will
take you to the 2008 Maya Meeting on-campus location in the Google Earth
application where I have put a couple of overlays on the top of the Art
Building where we will be meeting (the VAC building footprint and the 2008
logo).

If you zoom out of the picture a bit, you will see the symbols of a vertical
knife and fork -- these stand for eating places.  If you click on them, you
will see restaurant names, phone numbers and addresses and sometimes their
WebPages. Most of those symbolized are off campus.  Also, if you zoom out
more you should see things that look like small beds.  These are nearby
hotels.  

 

If you have not downloaded Google Earth and would like to do so, here is the
place to go to install it: http://earth.google.com

 

Also, for those of you who are still trying to book a room, I have heard
that there are rooms now available at the Austin Radisson North.
