[Aztlan] E-groups and sun dogs

I recall that there are a couple of articles, one by Milbrath and I think the other is by Krupp, that address the nadir sun, noting that a marker of the first nadir passage is the Pleiades at zenith at midnight.  At the same latitude the articles were addressing, the second nadir is marked in another part of the world by the "beheading" of Crux at sunrise.

Another thing that may or may not have a bearing on the E-group orientations is the relationship between Venus and the sun.  For example, every eight years Venus makes a first appearance as morning star a few days before the fall equinox. 

The sun dog information from Bob Hall is fascinating.  A lot to think about indeed.
