[Aztlan] Itzamna or Maize diety or God D or Hun Hunahpu

Atzlan members,

A question on Maya iconography. I am confused about the difference 
between Itzamna, the Maize Diety, God D and Hun Hunahpu. There seem to 
be places that indicate that they are the same and others that disagree. 
Is that a true representation of the academic opinion or am I just 
getting my sources mixed up? In particular, I am looking at presentation 
scenes where the Hero Twins are presenting to a Diety/ Senior Ancestor.
