There's been some speculation that the turning of the 10th baktun
(10.0.0.0.0 in AD 830) may have contributed to ideological correlates
related to the decline, but I'm unaware of any prophecies or predictions
that it would occur then or later.

In all the discussions of the 2012 calendar apocalypse I've heard over

past ten years, from Art Bell to Aztlan, I've never heard whether the
Maya 
calendar bothered to predict the real end of their great civilization.
