I edited the Wiki Mesoamerican calendars page to
include the translation of Tortuguero Monument 6,
(with its 2012 prophecy)  but the editors informed me
that my entry was disallowed, since the reference to a
discussion group was not an acceptable reference. This
allowed the page to preserve its position of there
being no evidence for a Maya interest in 2012.

When I get round to it, I'd like to add it using the
hard-copy reference of the conference proceedings of
the Maya Hieroglyphic Workshop on "Palenque and Its
Neighbors" at the University of Texas-Austin on March
9-10, 2002 (pp. 112-113) by Nikolai Grube, Simon
Martin, and Marc Zender, unless nyone else with more
time and internet accesss cares to do it.
