[Aztlan] Mixtec alligators & human remains question

Will appreciate direction on either of the following:

A bunch of years ago in grad school I was paging through a Mixtec (I think)
codex and came across an image of human figure with an alligator positioned
at its waist with the head (alligator's) pointed down. There were star
figures over the shoulder. I will appreciate any suggestions on where such
an image - or anything comparable - might be found.

I will appreciate any direction on discussion or legislation of the
treatment of prehistoric human remains in Mesoamerica along the lines of
NAGPRA legislation in the United States.

Thanks,

Robert
