[Aztlan] Seeking whereabouts of Uxmal Altar 10

P.S. I realize that the photograph I uploaded was
taken from the rear of the display, so the vertical
inscription is not visible (you may even note the
glare of the glass on the lens). However, I still
believe this is where you will find Uxmal monument 10
(most likely the left side of this image).

The Dzibilchaltun museum is amazing (and only a half
hour from Merida), although I heard it had some damage
in a hurricane not that many years ago.
Along with the Maya sculpture garden, they used the
funds to create a walking-tour of a botanical garden
displaying native plants and trees from northern
Yucatan (best viewed in the rainy season - the dry
season tour looks pretty brown ;-)
The only other botanical garden that would compare is
at the private hotel "Hacienda Santa Rosa" just west
of Maxcanu, Yucatan. Ask the hotel steward for a
CD-ROM of the botanical catalog (in Spanish).
