Hi I just wanted

I've written my MA thesis about Hueyapan Nawatl of Morelos and one of the
things I researched was the productivity of noun incorporation. In my data
NI was not just fossilized - rather it is a slightly more complex situation.
It seems that the class of incorporateable noun roots is getting smaller -
but the roots that are incorporateable can be incorporated into any verb.

I detected preferences for incorporation of short nominal roots of nahuatl
origin, and specifically bodyparts. I suggested that incorporation in
Hueyapan Nawatl is about to acquire a class of bodypart prefixes rather than
real incorporation. However I also have attestations of productive
incorporations with multisyllabic spanish loanword, e.g. "Nan kitrabajomati
in mocarroh" to say "its tough for your car to drive here".

I don't think Hill and Hill are right in their assertion that central
dialects have only fossilized noun incorporation - at least it is not that
simple in the Central dialect of Hueyapan.

I'll be happy to answer more questions if you have them.

Magnus
