[Aztlan] MODERATORS' NOTE: THE MAYA TZOLKIN

MODERATORS' NOTE:

The current topic focusing upon the origin of the
Tzolkin is certainly relevant to Mesoamerican studies,
and therefore is appropriate for Aztlan.  However,
some of the participants seem to be drifting further
into speculation without scholarly attribution of
their sources or reasoning.

The moderators continue to welcome discussion on this
topic, but we request that future posts provide
detailed in-text citations of scholarly
(peer-reviewed) publications so that this topic does
not devolve into random speculation regarding such a
complex topic.
