Listeros,
Many thanks to all of you who responded to me personally or posted a message to the list concerning the ancient Andean footprint discovered in the Bolivian altiplano.
The consensus seems to be that the footprint is a petroglyph or a stone carving in low relief. Elisabeth Wagner also made the observation that there are some chisel marks visible in the area surrounding the footprint.
There is also very little information about the context in which the finding occurred. One of the articles made a passing reference to some Egyptian archaeologists working in the area, but little else. As some of you pointed out, there will also need to be some peer review of the data.
The print will apparently be subjected to some additional dating methods. We'll just have to wait for the updates.
Saludos y gracias a todos,
Margarita
